Do you know how well you manage Insulin?
Is this something you think about on a regular basis or when it comes time to eat?
Are you currently suffering with known Insulin challenges?
Our body is not a mystery. The way it responds, looks and/or feels is all directly related to our habits and lifestyle choices.
Not regulating Insulin well, over a period of time, can significantly increase body fat.
Why? Two reasons, of many…
- Add stress to the body (raises cortisol) – Poor food choices (inflammatory or processed food consumption) add stress to the digestive track and hard on our digestion. Not breaking down food well can lead to it being stored in fat cells, resulting in weight gain. Food that lingers around the stomach for too long can also create an environment for foreign microbes to feed and grow in which can add weight to the stomach area. Same goes with long gaps between your meals (more than 4 hours), which can lead to weight gain.
- Can increase sleep challenges – Do you stay up late and snack? Binge watch Netflix into the wee hours of the night and miss out on sleep? This stresses the liver, disrupts insulin balance, and robs you of vital repair time (10pm-1am). Poor sleep and insulin resistance go hand in hand and can increase your weight or stall your weight loss. If you want to keep your weight off and insulin levels in check, improve your sleep!
Insulin is the hormone of aging. Meaning the more you release, the quicker you will age!
Being able to regulate and manage insulin well is critical for keeping your weight down.
